Under the direction of Rupert Pacheco, the popular Tejano band, "Se Salen", continues to enjoy wide popularity in nightclubs all over Tucson to Phoenix, and from Hayden to Safford! spreading their love for Tejano music!

Today, Se Salen is now an Quintet with a rich textured sound with current members enjoying the luxury of having some of the most experienced groups in Tucson. One exclusive engagement and tour was Se Salen performing at the 2006 Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair in San Antonio Texas, including showcasing at the TJS Bravo Records Showcase at the Cadillac Bar in downtown San Antonio! Se Salen has opened for: Pete Astudillo, La Differencia, Rodeo, Little Joe y La Familia, Jimmy Gonzalez y Grupo Mazz, Los Garcia Bros, Jay Perez, Grupo Vida, Emilio, Ruben Ramos, Ramon Ayala y sus Bravos Del Norte, Shelly Lares,  Adalberto and the Latin Breed, Joe Posada, and David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, Bob Gallarza, and Roger Velasquez........

A SHORT HISTORY OF THE BAND:   SE SALEN  was formed in 1995, performing in local venues and clubs like Famous Sam's, Hide-Out, Park Ave. and private parties as well. Se Salen started out as a quintet back then with Rupert Pacheco on trumpet, guitar and vocals, Frank Aguilar, bass guitar and vocals, Johnny Ray Hayes, keyboards, Robert Aguayo guitar and Danny Molina drums.

Other members of note were Chuy Guzman vocalist, Adrian Morales drums, Ed Lopez accordion, Robert Aguayo guitar, Ray Armijo guitar. Mike Alegria drums, and Alex Valencia keyboards,  Danny Yanez drums. We thank all of our former members for their contributions to Se Salen and we wish them well in their future endeavors.

Se Salen continues to evolve and grow, but one thing remains the same our commitment to have fun!
